The journey of Young Blooms Flower School and its subscribers
One of the aims of the school is to help flower lovers grow in their understanding of floristry. I know that when I started working as a florist in a flower shop, there was not always time for people to show me properly how to do things and I had to do a lot of watching and copying what was done. Having online tutorials like the YB flower school would have been fantastic for me at the start of my journey.
Part of the ethos is that the flower school is a place where people can be inspired, but also get advice and encouragement!
I want to share some of the fab work that subscribers to the school are creating,
Below is this gorgeous wreath created by Susie, you can follow her journey at @bloomsforbrides_ on instagram.
Its been wonderful to build relationships with these budding florists, watching their creations getting posted onto instagram and see them grow in confidence! It can be quite nerve-wracking posting pictures online and I think having a support group behind you cheering you can be a useful thing.
The closed Facebook group has been a good place to share pictures of work and get feedback from other subscribers.
Having a library of tutorials available for subscribers means that they have access to a wealth of information, that is always there for them to refer back to.
I know a number of them are starting out in business and therefore I feel its important to get feedback from them as to what would be useful for them in their business journey.
In light of that we are also adding useful content to our YouTube channel. These are shorter videos all with the aim of looking at helpful topics for florists.
We have had great feedback from the tutorials so far with subscribers saying that they love the content and find Grace a very inspiring teacher, sharing knowledge and tips. It feels like a one to one lesson.
